Our Commitments
Last revised Oct 21, 2026
What follows sets out the rules by which Bouger Longtemps chooses its topics, checks its facts against their sources and corrects its errors.
Editorial Independence
No content is funded by an advertiser, or commissioned or approved by a company. Outbound links belong to no affiliate program: they point to sources or to useful pages. No fake reviews and no invented testimonials. No imaginary authors: articles are signed by the editorial team.
The Order of Sources
Sources are chosen in this order of preference:
- sports or professional federations, official and institutional bodies, regulatory texts;
- academic or clinical studies and independent tests;
- reputable national or specialized press;
- a manufacturer's documentation, for its own product only.
No stores, no marketplaces, no retailer buying guides: a seller isn't a source.
When health is at stake, health authorities, care institutions and published research take precedence over the press.
Today, the sources cited by the site break down as follows: 10 reference sources, 2 published studies, 3 press articles.
Checking Before Publishing
Each piece of data (a figure, a rule or a trend) links to a source open to everyone, with its date. If no source establishes it, it isn't published.
Before anything appears, each claim is checked against what its source actually says. It isn't published if the source doesn't confirm it, if the source has become unreachable or if it's a store.
Last check of all the facts: October 19, 2026.
Each article names its sources, with their type and the date they were verified.
Which Topics, and Why
Each page starts from a practical question tied to the site's theme (pickleball for seniors). These are the questions asked most often in searches. The answers rely on material from solid sources, named each time. No article is requested or paid for by a brand.
On Health Topics
Some of the topics covered here concern health. The texts published here offer general information. They don't replace the advice of a health professional (doctor, physical therapist, pharmacist). With pain, a symptom or any doubt, it's better to see one.
Articles show at the top the date the facts were verified.
When an Error Is Found
If a source changes or an error turns up, the fact concerned is corrected, or removed if nothing supports it anymore. Then every page that uses it is rebuilt, and the update date follows. No page is redated without a real change. No date is moved back.
The site offers no form and no contact address: the publisher doesn't disclose an identity, and nothing is collected about readers. Each correction therefore starts from what the sources say. Illegal content is reported to the host: the legal notice explains how.
