The Data Controller

The data falls under the publisher of this site, an individual acting in a non-professional capacity whose identity is known to the host named in the legal notice (article 6-III-2 of the law on trust in the digital economy).

What Is Collected

The pages of this site are static. There's no form, no account to create and no advertising tracker. Traffic is measured in aggregate, without cookies (see "Visit Counting" below). The publisher collects no data that could identify a visitor when a page is simply viewed.

Visit Counting

To follow traffic to the site (page views, visits, most-read pages, referring sites), the publisher uses its own audience counter, hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (Workers service and D1 database). When a page displays, a short script passes just two pieces of information to the site itself, which relays them to this counter: the address of the page viewed (without its parameters) and the name of the site the visitor came from, if any. A page that's reloaded, or reopened with the "back" button, sends nothing.

The counter sets no cookie, writes nothing to browser storage and assigns no identifier: it can't recognize a visitor from one page or visit to the next. It records neither an IP address nor the characteristics of a browser. It keeps only aggregate counts — a number of views per site, per day, per page and per referring site. Known bots are never counted among visitors: their visits are kept apart, under the name of their family alone. These counts are kept for 25 months at most, then deleted.

The same script also counts clicks to the store this site recommends. When a visitor clicks such a link, the script sends the site, which relays them to the same counter, the address of the page the click comes from, the type of link (text, panel or button) and the name of the site the visitor arrived from on that page, if any — and nothing more. The counter keeps only a number of clicks per day, per page and per format, with a number of clicks per day and per origin (search engine, assistant, social network, direct access), with no cookie and no identifier, for 25 months at most.

These statistics are used only to measure this site's audience, solely on the publisher's behalf. They aren't cross-referenced with other processing, used for advertising or passed on, and they can't track browsing elsewhere. Framed this way, audience measurement doesn't require consent (article 82 of the Informatique et Libertés law and the CNIL's recommendations on audience measurement). It rests on the publisher's legitimate interest in knowing how much the site is visited.

A visitor can object at any time without affecting how the site reads, by turning off JavaScript or by blocking, in a content blocker, this site's address /r74t3eqq/am1k0ck, which receives the script's signal.

Host Logs

The host, Cloudflare, Inc., may keep connection logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent) for security and for the proper working of the service. This processing is the host's own: it follows its own privacy policy, which the publisher doesn't control.

The law on trust in the digital economy (article 6-II) requires certain connection data to be kept for a limited time, to investigate and establish offenses.

Cookies and Trackers

This site sets no cookie, including for audience measurement. Any tracker added later would be described here, and a consent mechanism would be provided before any tracker that isn't strictly necessary is set.

Merchant Sites

Links sometimes lead to merchant sites. None of these links contains a tracking identifier, and the product images shown here are served by this site itself. On another site, its own privacy policy takes over.

Rights Over Personal Data

The law grants a right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over data concerning a person. Since this site collects no data that identifies a visitor, it holds, in principle, nothing about anyone. For a request, contact the host named in the legal notice, which will forward it to the publisher.

If these rights don't seem respected, a complaint can be filed with the CNIL: <https://www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes>.

Data Outside the European Union

Hosting is provided by Cloudflare, Inc., whose infrastructure may process data outside the European Union. These transfers are governed by the mechanisms the GDPR provides, notably standard contractual clauses.

The audience-measurement counts are stored in a database located in the European Union. Each signal's passage through Cloudflare, Inc. may take place outside the Union, on the server closest to the visitor. Cloudflare adheres to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, supplemented by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
